WHO WE ARE

The Friendly Centre for Older People

Here at the Dove Centre, we seek to support older people in the Wester Hailes and surrounding areas to remain as independent as they can be through a variety of socially inclusive physical and mental activities and volunteering opportunities. We provide fully accessible transport and freshly made meals daily on the premises.

OUR STORY

Founded in 1991, The Dove Centre is the only dedicated centre for the over 50s in the Wester Hailes area. We seek to support older people to remain as independent as they can be through a variety of socially inclusive transport, learning, social welfare, activities, health & volunteering opportunities.

Dove Transport was founded in 2003 and its goal is to provide affordable accessible transport to local not-for-profit community organisations in the west of Edinburgh.
